Real Madrid’s talented youngster Marco Asensio is one of the most promising players in the World right now. Asensio talks to COPE in an interview and tells about his perfect player, winning Ballon d’Or and also how he overlooked Barcelona to sign for Real Madrid. Asensio also talked about who deserves the Ballon d’Or this year.

Asensio had an offer from Barcelona to sign for the Catalan club but Asensio instead preferred Real Madrid and committed his future to the Spanish Capital.

“Barca offered €150m? I want to stay here at Real Madrid. I have a price but I do not think I move from here. I won’t go to PSG.”

Taking about Neymar’s absence from Barcelona squad, Asensio said:

“We thought it strange that Neymar was out of Barcelona. He was an important player for them and they could not hold him, it’s a bit strange, but there they are.”

Talking about Messi, Asensio said:



“Zidane told me that since Messi, I’ve never seen a left leg like mine. I was a little impressed.” Messi is a piece of footballer. ”

When inquired about who deserves the Ballon d’Or this year, Asensio was quick to answer: “Cristiano deserves the Ballon d’Or.”

Asensio also talked about his aspirations to win the Ballon d’Or someday: “You never know if I’ll win the Ballon d’Or someday.”

Asensio was asked about his perfect player but the Spanish refused to name any single player and created a mixture of player:

“My perfect player would be, Right leg Cristiano, Lef leg Me, Heading and Leadership Ramos and Vision and passing Toni Kroos.”
