Jose Mourinho is set to be rewarded for a fine start to the Premier League season with a new deal at Manchester United, reports the Telegraph .
The Red Devils have raced to the top of the table with three wins out of three, and talks on a contract extension are reported to be planned for November.
If Mourinho stays beyond the current campaign he will be United's longest-serving manager since Sir Alex Ferguson retired: David Moyes lasted just one season at Old Trafford after succeeding his compatriot, while Louis van Gaal spent two years at the club before being replaced by Mourinho in 2016.
