Real Madrid news:"I hope the best is yet to come out out of me at Real Madrid "-Gareth Bale

On his four years at Real Madrid: "I hope the best is yet to come. Yes, there have been some great moments, and some not so much."

On his main flaw: "I'm pretty lazy."

On what makes him happy: "Staying healthy, I guess. The same in football: Not having injuries and playing. An injury is very frustrating when you are a professional athlete."

On his dream as a child: "Just like other kids, I wanted to be a professional. When you are small, you do not think about winning this or that, you only think about becoming professional. And I've had the luck that I've got what I wanted."

On if he ever thought about throwing in the towel & leaving: "No, of course not (laughs). Maybe in the future. At the moment, no."

On what he likes the most about his job: "The fact that when I was little I dreamed of playing football & I made my dream come true."

On Zinedine Zidane: "Zidane is very calm, he likes to enjoy football. When we attack, he wants us to express ourselves. And when we defend, Zidane wants us all to defend as one, and to help each other. He wants his players to go out, enjoy football and when they do, the team plays better."

On if some criticism bothers him: "None (laughs). They're just opinions. They've to sell newspapers in some way & have to write something. I'm used to people writing good and bad things ... And I do not care too much. Football arouses passion & it's normal for everyone to have their opinions."

On the last season: "Of course it's been difficult not being able to play, but I've had a good preseason & I'm training hard to help the team win more trophies."

On how he disconnects from football: "I like to play golf, enjoy life and to spend time with my friends."

On the best adrvise he'd been given: "You can have all the talent in the world but if you don't work hard you won't go far."
On playing through pain for much of last season: "On the one hand, it's easy to say that I should have rested more, but when you've been injured for three months and you see your teammates playing, you really want to get back out there and that's what I did. I had to take a lot of painkillers to play and yes, now I think I should have taken more time to recover so I could have played much better and be able to do all those things that I wa
